get to know me (20 questions)
I don't think we've been properly introduced... unless you've read my 'about' page which is a very practical explanation of me. So, as my first post I think it would be only polite to tell you a bit more about myself by answering 20 ‘random’ questions about me.
Simple one to start…
If you were a dinosaur, what kind would you be?
Probably a cute cartoon one. Either green or purple with yellow spots and look a bit like a t-rex.
How tall are you?
What’s your guilty pleasure?
Definitely Walker’s Chicken and Thyme flavour crisps. Can’t get enough of them.
Tea or coffee?
Tea, milky no sugar.
Sweet or salty?
At one point I would have probably have said sweet but recently I’ve been opting for more salty options.
Dogs or cats?
Again, at one point I probably would have said cat but since our family got a dog I’m torn between the two. I love our cat but nothing beats the loyalty of a dog.
Half-empty or half-full?
Half-full. What can I say? I’m an optimistic person.
Favourite social media?
Although I check Facebook more frequently, my favourite has to be Instagram.
Crumpets with butter and a cup of tea (see above).
‘Elizabeth is Missing’ by Emma Healey. Usually I like something darker or a YA dystopian that’s been made into film but as someone whose nan had early dementia, this book very sensitively told the story through their eyes.
How would you describe your style?
Permanently casual. At the moment it’s jeans and a jumper although even when I wear skirts or a dress I still manage to look casual.
What fictional character would you like to be?
Where were you ten years ago?
In school. I would have been 13 so I wouldn’t have had any idea what I wanted to do. I decided that I wanted to work in theatre when I was 14.
3 songs on my playlist…
‘Shout Out to My Ex’ by Little Mix
‘Bewitched, Bothered and Bewildered’ by Ella Fitzgerald
‘Human’ by Christina Perri
3 things you want to learn…
How to speak Cornish
Where do you want to go?
What do you say during awkward silences?
Absolutely nothing. I embrace the silence and enjoy the full awkwardness of it.
How has your life changed since last year?
So much! In the past year I’ve graduated and worked on Dr Who and Harry Potter. If you had told me 10 years ago that I would have worked on my two favourite things a year after uni I would have laughed at you. Not only because I never thought that I would work in TV or the West End but for actually leaving Cornwall and going to uni.
The person you’re always happy to see?
My parents. I pretend to be an adult but there’s nothing like going home and giving my parents a hug. Aww.
‘Be a good person but don’t waste time to prove it’
Hopefully now that you know a bit more about, you won't be afraid to ask any questions in the comments.
My next post will probably be about my portfolio page and why I've decided to include it on my blog.
Til next time,
